White Wines
White wines can be made from green grapes and blue grapes, but most wines are made from green grapes. The color can vary from colorless/pale yellow to orange/brown.
The most widely planted grape varieties for making white wines are: Airen and Trebbiano (Ugni Blanc). The most famous grapes for white wines are: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Tip: Don't drink white wines too cold, as this will emphasize the acidity too much. For example, a full-bodied Chardonnay is best enjoyed at a temperature of 14 degrees, and a fresh Sauvignon Blanc at a temperature of about 8 degrees.
