A jewel from the Loire! Pleasant nose that gives a grassy impression complemented by citrus fruit of lemon, juicy pears, and lime. The taste is wonderfully refreshing with lively acidity and a brilliant finish. Clear pale yellow color.

Domaine Curot Sancerre pairs well with fish dishes, shellfish, white and green asparagus, and of course goat cheese. (tip: Crottin de Chavignol).

Additional Information

Eric Louis is the owner and winemaker of Domaine Curot. He produces excellent Sancerre wines that, in addition to freshness, are characterized by a ripe style. The name Sancerre needs no introduction. It is the most famous appellation of the Loire. Its trademark is fresh and complex wines from Sauvignon Blanc, usually produced by relatively small family domains.

A good example of such a winery is Domaine Curot. This 10-hectare estate is located in Thauvenay, a village in the southeast of the appellation, and is managed by Eric Louis. The style of his white Sancerre is quintessential Sauvignon, but by local standards, quite full-bodied. This style is based on good ripeness of the fruit at harvest.
