Tasting Note Amstramgram Les Sacres Rebus blanc
Amstramgram Les Sacres Rebus blanc offers initial aromas of white flowers, ripe peach, and a finish of anise and fresh mint. The palate is very generous with exotic fruits like pineapple, notes of candied lemons, and finally mint with a hint of flint. This is a wine that will continue to develop in the bottle; the bright Rolle shines now, but in a few years, the Roussanne will develop and add a creamy touch. Beautiful yellow color with light green reflections. Truly a surprise—fruity, pure, and an intriguing full flavor.
Wine & Food Pairing
Amstramgram Les Sacres Rebus blanc is an excellent partner for exotic dishes, Peruvian ceviche, and also a French tarte au citron.
Additional Information
The name "Les Sacres Rebus" refers to the mysterious and playful character of this wine. "Sacres" means "sacred" in French, and "Rebus" refers to a puzzle or riddle where words are represented by images or symbols.
Calmel & Joseph is the winery behind this wine, and they are experimenting with this Amstramgram line. The winery was founded in 1995 and is located in Languedoc-Roussillon, where they have been producing beautiful wines with a modern twist for many years.
The winery is known, among other things, for the immensely popular Villa Blanche wines.
Languedoc is the largest wine region in France and roughly corresponds to the former region of Languedoc-Roussillon. It stretches along the southeast coast from the Rhône to the Spanish border. The area, with its sparse slopes, dry climate, and abundant sunshine, provides the ideal natural conditions necessary for making fine wines.
