Ultimate Provence is a modern wine estate in the heart of the Plaine des Maures in Var, Southern France. The estate boasts 46 hectares of organic vineyards and produces wines within the Côtes de Provence appellation. The combination of wine, nature, gastronomy, and modern design makes Ultimate Provence quite different from a traditional Provençal winery.
The estate focuses on a contemporary interpretation of Provence. Quality, character, and a modern appearance are central to this. The wines are available in rosé, red, and white and are bottled in Ultimate Provence's striking, recognizable bottles.
Vineyards in the Plaine des Maures
The vineyards of Ultimate Provence are located in the heart of the Plaine des Maures nature reserve. The surroundings are characterized by Mediterranean nature, warm summers, and the influence of the nearby Mediterranean Sea.
The 46 hectares of vineyards are managed organically. With this, the estate strives to protect the natural environment and biodiversity as much as possible.
The location and Mediterranean climate are particularly suitable for the grape varieties typical of Provence. Especially for rosé, the conditions provide ripe aromas combined with sufficient freshness.
Côtes de Provence
Ultimate Provence produces wines within the Côtes de Provence, the largest appellation for quality wines in Provence.
Although Provence is globally known primarily for rosé, Ultimate Provence also makes white and red wine. With this, the estate shows that the region has much more to offer than just the famous light-colored summer wine.
The style of Ultimate Provence is deliberately modern: fresh, fruity, expressive, and accessible, yet with enough character to be interesting at the table.
More than just wine
Ultimate Provence is designed as a complete experience. In addition to the winery, the estate features a restaurant and spaces for tastings and events.
The design of the estate and the bottles also plays an important role. The well-known label-free bottle design is part of the brand's modern image. The bottles are also designed to be reused after use. In collaboration with Q de Bouteilles, a program has been set up where used bottles are collected and given a second life as a table or decorative object.
Sustainability
Ultimate Provence's vineyards are organically certified. In addition, the estate also tries to work more sustainably outside the vineyard.
A good example of this is the reuse of the characteristic bottles. This aims to create a more circular approach to wine packaging.
Fun fact
Ultimate Provence bottles deliberately do not have a traditional wine label. The striking bottle design is part of the winery's identity, and the bottles can be reused as decoration or a table object after use. So, it's a wine bottle you actually don't want to throw straight into the recycling bin. 😉
