Tasting note Pouilly-Fumé Les Chantebines
The nose is expressive and reminiscent of gooseberries, green apple, flowers, and freshly cut grass. With a soft mouthfeel and lively, mineral acidity. A pure Pouilly-Fumé with a yellow-green color.
Food Pairing
This Pouilly-Fumé excels with an elaborate lunch or a seafood appetizer. Delicious with a fresh salad with goat cheese, walnuts, and honey, or with sashimi, grilled prawns, homemade asparagus soup, or grilled bell peppers.
Additional information
Alain Pabiot is one of the most well-known winemakers in Pouilly-Fumé. Year after year, he produces a fantastic glass of white Pouilly. The wine ferments in stainless steel tanks, with partial skin contact and heavy settling for refinement. Subsequently, the wine ages on the lees to enhance complexity and texture.
Wine scores/awards
The 2022 vintage received a gold medal at the Vinalies Nationales and a silver medal at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon.
