Tasting Note Tarani Cabernet Sauvignon
A smooth, sultry Cabernet Sauvignon from the southwest of France. The wine has an intense purple-red colour and an inviting aroma of ripe raspberries and other red fruits, complemented by a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is wonderfully soft and round, with ripe fruit, mild tannins, and a velvety structure. Not a heavy or austere Cabernet, but rather an accessible, sunny style that is easy to drink.
Wine & Food
Tarani Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that also comes into its own perfectly without food. At the table, it pairs well with pizza, pasta with tomato sauce, lasagna, casseroles and spicy vegetarian dishes. It is also a good choice with grilled meat.
Additional information
Tarani is a wine from Vinovalie, a collaboration of four cooperative wineries in southwestern France. The collaboration brings together winemakers from Gaillac, Fronton, and Cahors, among others. The goal is to combine the knowledge and character of these different regions with modern winemaking techniques.
The Cabernet Sauvignon is traditionally vinified, with an emphasis on the fruity and smooth character of the wine. Malolactic fermentation contributes to the soft, round taste.
Fun fact
Cabernet Sauvignon is often associated with powerful and robust red wines, but Tarani shows the smooth and fruity side of the grape. Thanks to the warm climate of Southwest France, you get a Cabernet here that is primarily about ripe fruit and drinking pleasure.
