A distinctly aromatic and fresh white wine made from 100% Torrontés, the signature white grape of Argentina. The nose is brimming with jasmine, roses, orange blossom, and lychee, complemented by citrus, peach, and a subtle spiciness.

Despite its exuberant aromas, the wine is surprisingly dry and refreshing on the palate. The crisp acidity provides tension and balance, while the exotic fruit and floral notes reflect beautifully in the flavor profile. The finish is lively and lightly spiced.

Zuccardi Valles Torontés is a delicious wine to pair with Asian and spicy dishes, such as Thai curry, sushi, Vietnamese cuisine, and Szechuan dishes. It is also excellent with ceviche, salads, grilled fish, and as an aperitif. The combination of aromatics and fresh acidity makes it particularly versatile.

Additional information

The grapes for this wine come from Cafayate in the province of Salta, one of the most renowned regions for Torrontés in Argentina. The vineyards are situated at approximately 1,800 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Andes. The significant differences between day and night temperatures help the grapes retain their aromatic character as well as their fresh acidity.

The wine is produced via temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. It then ages for about six months on the fine lees, which adds roundness and texture to the wine without sacrificing its fresh character.

At the end of the 19th century, the Zuccardi family emigrated from Italy to Argentina. In the 1950s, Alberto V. Zuccardi founded an irrigation company, a logical step in a country where agriculture is barely possible without irrigation. To demonstrate the success of his system, he planted his first vineyards in Maipú in 1963, followed by an expansion near Mendoza.

Since 1985, his son José Alberto Zuccardi has led the family business, which is now globally acclaimed for its quality. Zuccardi has been named Best Vineyard in South America multiple times, and their wines consistently achieve top ratings, with some even reaching 100 Parker points.

The vineyards for this Torrontés are located at an impressive altitude of 1,800 meters! The vast differences between warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to develop intense aromas while simultaneously preserving their fresh acidity. This is one of the reasons why Torrontés from Salta has such a distinct and recognizable character.
