You immediately recognize the scent of black cherries. But also the necessary spices are present in this red wine. The taste is a beautiful interplay of both red and dark fruit. A somewhat vegetal hint reveals the use of Pinot Noir. The finish has a hint of citrus and peppermint.

Villa Blanche Pinot Noir is delicious to drink on its own, but also pairs well with flavorful dishes such as pasta with a ragout. Also suitable with North African spiced dishes. Or with some lightly aged semi-soft cheeses like Reblochon and Kernhem. Optionally, chill lightly for even more fruit.

The white wine from Villa Blanche has made a lot of furore among wine drinkers all over the world. The Chardonnay variant is considered the best in the world and is served at the top of Dutch gastronomy. The winery Villa Blanche also has a red variant, which is at least as spectacular as the Chardonnay. Villa Blanche Pinot Noir has class, elegance, but above all, a lot of flavor.

Villa Blanche Pinot Noir is made by the famous and award-winning Domaine Calmel & Joseph from the Languedoc Roussillon in Southern France. The domaine is located at the crossroads of geological and climatic influences of Corbières, Limoux and La Malepère, Cabardès and Minervois.

The grapes grow on clay-limestone with 20% ferruginous red, white and grey clay. Located in the most inland part of the Languedoc Roussillon. The soil is slightly sandy, so it is well ventilated and drains well. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 250 meters. There is also a significant difference between day and night temperatures, ideal for Pinot Noir.
