Valpantena, a valley northeast of Verona, has long been known as a wine-growing region. It lies in the heart of Veneto, one of Italy's most important wine-producing regions. Since 1958, Cantina Valpantena has been active here, a cooperative of 270 producers with 600 hectares of vineyards. Valpantena's operations extend across the well-known trio of appellations from the Verona area: Soave, Bardolino, and Valpolicella, with the latter considered a specialty. From this appellation, they produce very interesting Amarone and Ripasso wines, among others.

Cantine de Valpantena, responsible for the wines of Torre del Falasco, is known for its excellent price-quality ratio and was named the third best Italian Wine Cooperative in Italy in 2017 by the renowned magazine Weinwirtschaft.
