Tasting note Torre del Falasco Amarone della Valpolicella
The bouquet is overwhelming with influences of cocoa, tobacco, raisins, Amarena cherries, and forest fruit. The flavors of this Amarone are unpacked layer by layer on the palate. Velvet tannins and a very long finish. The balance between fruit, acidity, power, and elegance is particularly striking. A seductive wine for a special occasion! A dark, deep red color. It is recommended to decant the wine beforehand. A fantastic evening is guaranteed!

The power of this Torre del Falasco Amarone della Valpolicella calls for food: dishes such as stews, grilled meat, venison, wild boar, pappardelle with rabbit, hare, lamb leg stew, a cheese board, or Parmesan cheese are ideal companions.
Other information
The wine is composed of 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, and 5% Corvinone grapes, which grow on the very oldest vines. The old vineyard does not yield much, but is of exceptionally high quality. Once the grapes are ripe, all bunches are harvested by hand and laid out on beds. Yes, you read that right, the bunches are laid to rest on beds in special drying houses.
As a result, they lose 40% of their weight, which brings about the characteristic taste of raisins and dried fruit. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 3 years in French oak (barriques). Finally, it undergoes an 8-month bottle maturation before the wine is released onto the market.
Fun fact: The name Torre del Falasco refers to Falasco, a notorious 17th-century bandit who, according to legend, lived in a small tower near Stallavena. As if this powerful Amarone didn't already have enough character...
