Tasting Notes Torre del Falasco Amarone della Valpolicella
The aroma is overwhelming with hints of cocoa, tobacco, raisins, amarena cherries and forest fruits. The flavors of this Amarone unfold layer by layer in the mouth. Velvety tannins and a very long finish. Particularly striking is the balance between fruit, acidity, power, and elegance. An enticing wine for a special occasion! A dark, deep red color. It is recommended to decant the wine beforehand. A top evening guaranteed!

The power of this Torre del Falasco Amarone della Valpolicella calls for food: dishes such as stews, grilled meats, venison, wild boar, pappardelle with rabbit, hare, leg of lamb stew, cheese board, or Parmesan cheese are ideal accompaniments.
Additional information
The wine is composed of 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, and 5% Corvinone grapes, which grow on the oldest vines. The old vineyard does not yield much but is of extremely good quality. When the grapes are ripe, all bunches are harvested by hand and placed on racks. Yes, you read that correctly, the bunches are laid to rest on racks in special drying sheds.
This causes them to lose 40% of their weight, which brings about the characteristic taste of raisins and dried fruit. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 3 years in French oak (barriques). Finally, it undergoes an additional 8 months of bottle aging, after which the wine is released to the market.
Cantine de Valpantena in the Veneto region of Northern Italy – responsible for the wines of Torre del Falasco – are known for their good value for money.
