Tasting Note: Perdeberg Dry Land Collection Resolve Pinotage

Deep ruby red in colour with a purple hue. The nose offers ripe aromas of black cherries, plums, and blueberries, complemented by mocha, dark chocolate, candy floss, and a hint of vanilla from the oak. The palate is full and concentrated, with soft tannins and a beautiful balance between fruit, spice, and wood. The finish is long, juicy, smooth, and elegant, with a hint of toasted spices.

Wine & Food

Perdeberg Dry Collection Resolve Pinotage pairs exceptionally well with dishes of character: think slow-cooked leg of lamb, grilled sirloin steak, or a rich stew with Provençal herbs. It also forms a delicious combination with a hearty barbecue featuring smoked meats or a spicy South African bobotie. Also ideal with a tuna steak. Serve preferably at 16–18 °C.

The Resolve Pinotage is part of Perdeberg’s Dry Land Collection, sourced from vines nourished exclusively by natural rainfall. This yields grapes of exceptional concentration and complexity. The wine is partly aged in French oak barrels, which provides depth and refinement. Awarded with various accolades, including 91 points from James Suckling and Silver at the Veritas Awards 2024, this Pinotage confirms its status as one of the most characterful expressions of this typical South African grape.
