Tasting Notes Nebla Ribera del Duero
The aroma immediately reveals notes of 4 months of barrel aging in new oak barrels. Furthermore, a broad bouquet of the Tempranillo grape, black fruit, light oak, vanilla, plums, and a hint of ripe cherries. The taste is full and very soft, with refined flavors of black fruit, spices, chocolate, and a touch of vanilla. Truly delicious, this Nebla from Ribera del Duero. When pouring this Nebla Ribera del Duero, the deep red color with a beautiful purple rim is immediately noticeable.
Wine & Food
This Ribera del Duero from Nebla from Northern Spain pairs well with grilled (red) meat, a beef or game stew with mushrooms, a cheese board, or Spanish hams.
Additional information
This Tempranillo from the Nebla series comes from the large Spanish winery Vincente Gandia. The 4th generation is currently working there, and they are still enthusiastically making progress. Vincente Gandia has grown to become the largest winery in Valencia.
The vineyards for the Tempranillo grapes are located at an altitude of about 600 meters. Ribera del Duero is one of the most beloved regions in Spain. Here, the grapes are perfectly suited for the warmth of the day and the coolness of the night. The grapes have the right conditions here to grow peacefully into little gems.
When harvesting these grapes, it is important that this takes place in the early morning. The grapes are then still fresh and have more firmness than if they were harvested in the heat of the day. The grapes are transported to the winery in small crates to optimally guarantee their quality.
