The Misty Cove Sauvignon Blanc is a typical New Zealand Sauvignon. The scent features the characteristic elements of gooseberries, fresh herbs, and melon, all vying for attention. Misty Cove is a boutique winery started by Andrew Bailey and his Dutch wife in 2008. They source their fruit from the best vineyards in Marlborough and Central Otago and use it to create pure and distinctive wines that have already won numerous awards. The company is committed to sustainability.
The modern center of New Zealand wine is located on the South Island. When Montana Wines established itself in the Marlborough wine region some forty years ago, the wine world was turned upside down.
The Sauvignon Blanc from this wine region surprised friends and foes alike with a truly sensational taste. Drier and more powerful than in other wine regions, anywhere in the world. Marlborough offers unique conditions: bright sunshine, cool nights, and the stony soil of old riverbeds.
Misty Cove comes from the world-famous Marlborough region, located on the South Island of New Zealand. 'World-famous', specifically for the Sauvignon Blancs that originate there. One-third of the planted area of the island is filled with Sauvignon Blanc vines. This wine is the result: a very aromatic wine with "grassy" notes and aromas of melon and citrus fruit, among others. Due to the present and necessary fresh acidity, the wine comes across as very fruity and is ready to drink early.
It is a very intense wine, full of tropical fruit and with a very long finish. The present fresh acidity makes the wine very lively. Misty Cove Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful accompaniment to light fish dishes and shellfish or crustaceans.
