Tasting Notes Kaiken Nude Rosé
The aroma features prominent notes of raspberry, strawberry, and pomegranate, complemented by subtle hints of thyme, orange blossom, pink pepper, and pink grapefruit. On the palate, the wine is juicy, smooth, and fresh, with a beautiful balance between fruit and acidity. The medium body gives the rosé more structure and a pleasant, rounded mouthfeel. Fresh red fruit notes reappear, alongside citrus and a slight spiciness. The finish is long, refreshing, and elegant.
Wine & Food Pairing
The Kaiken Nude is a versatile rosé that excels both as an aperitif and with food. It pairs beautifully with shrimp cocktail, seafood, light fish dishes, and salads. It also makes a good match with chicken, pork, and soft cheeses.
Additional Information
The Kaiken Nude Rosé comes from the Canota Valley, in the foothills of the Andes in Mendoza. The vineyards are located at approximately 1,150 meters above sea level, right next to the Villavicencio nature reserve. The large differences between warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining their fresh acidity.
The wine is a blend of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Kaiken describes Nude as a rosé that is light and easy to drink, yet complex enough to be interesting at the dinner table. The combination of ripe red fruit, fresh acidity, and Mediterranean spiciness gives the wine more character than a simple, summery rosé.
