An intense ruby-red Malbec with aromas of ripe black cherries, plums, and blackberries, refined with notes of violets, herbs, and a subtle mineral touch. The palate is rich and concentrated, with velvety tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish where fruit and minerality beautifully come together.

Kaiken Aventura Chacayes Sur is an excellent companion to grilled red meat, sirloin steak, or a nice ribeye from the barbecue. Lamb, game dishes, and slow-cooked stews also make for a delicious pairing. Thanks to its fresh acidity and refined structure, the wine also pairs perfectly with aged cheeses.

With the Aventura series, Kaiken demonstrates how terroir determines the character of Malbec. This wine comes from the southern part of Los Chacayes, where chalky soils, significant temperature fluctuations, and high-altitude vineyards create a powerful yet refined style. The grapes are hand-harvested and the wine matures for 12 months in concrete tanks, optimally preserving the pure fruit and minerality. The result is an elegant Malbec with ripe black cherries, floral notes, velvety tannins, and a long, fresh finish.

The symbol of Kaiken Wines is a type of goose called the Cauquén (the upland goose), which is common in Patagonia and regularly crosses between Argentina and Chile. Aurelio Montes frequently made the same flight and saw the geese flying back and forth. It was during one of these flights that the name of the winery was born. How fitting!
