Tasting Note Kaiken Aventura Chacayes Norte
Deep ruby red Malbec with aromas of violets, lavender, ripe plums, and fresh red fruit, complemented by subtle mineral notes. The taste is powerful yet refined, with firm but ripe tannins, a lively freshness, and a long, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Kaiken Aventura Chacayes Norte pairs excellently with grilled red meat, slow-cooked lamb, and game dishes. A hearty stew or pasta with a rich meat sauce also makes for a wonderful combination. Furthermore, the fresh acidity and mineral structure provide a beautiful balance with aged cheeses and dishes with earthy flavors, such as mushrooms.

With the Aventura series, Kaiken explores how terroir defines the character of Malbec. This wine comes from the northern slopes of Los Chacayes, where limestone-rich soils with calcium carbonate and small stones provide a distinctively mineral and elegant style. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine ages for 12 months in concrete tanks, ensuring the pure fruit and its origin are fully preserved. The result is a powerful yet refined Malbec with floral aromas, ripe plums, lively freshness, and a long, mineral finish.
The symbol of Kaiken Wines is a type of goose called: Cauquén (the upland goose), which is common in Patagonia and regularly crosses between Argentina and Chile. Aurelio Montes frequently made the same flight and saw the geese flying back and forth. During one of these flights, the name of the winery was born. How fitting!
