Additional Information

The Haltinger winery Winzer is a cooperative founded in 1936 by 36 winegrowers. The winery is located in Haltingen, a district of Weil am Rhein in the Lörrach district (Baden), in the very southwest of Germany, close to the border with Switzerland and France.

Today, the cooperative manages approximately 48 hectares of vineyards, spread over various carefully selected hillside plots. The terroir consists mainly of limestone and marl soils with a loess overlay, and the southwest orientation of the vineyards ensures optimal sun exposure and excellent ripening of the grapes.

Haltingen is located in the Baden wine region, one of the warmest wine regions in Germany. This favorable climate, combined with the calcareous soils, makes the area particularly suitable for grapes from the "Burgunder" family, such as Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir).
