Today, the 110 winemakers from Haltingen in Markgräflerland in Baden, just above Swiss Basel, produce a large number of different wines in various varieties across approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, some of which are organically farmed. This German version of the Pinot Noir on the east side of the Rhine is making serious strides.

The wines of Haltinger Winzer are increasingly impressing the noses of professional juries. It's no coincidence that the winemakers have received numerous awards in recent years. With consistency in the vineyard and the expertise of the experienced cellar master, the wines from this sun-drenched location in the German tri-border region are increasingly developing their own unique profile.
