Tasting Notes: Haltinger Reserve Spätburgunder
This Haltinger Reserve Spätburgunder has bright aromas of red berries, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, and floral and spicy nuances. It also features typical forest floor aromas and a hint of bacon. Ripe and juicy, with slightly jammy fruit, it is lively, youthful, and boasts soft tannins for some bite. Long finish. Clear, light color.

Today, the 110 winemakers from Haltingen in Markgräflerland in Baden, just above Basel, Switzerland, produce a large number of different wines in various varieties on approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, some of which are organically cultivated. This German version of Pinot Noir on the east side of the Rhine is making serious strides.
Haltinger Winzer's wines are increasingly impressing the juries of professional tasting panels. It's no wonder the winemakers have received numerous awards in recent years.
