Tasting Notes Feudo Arancio Vermentino
The nose is very aromatic, with notes of chamomile, fennel, citrus, star anise, and a hint of eucalyptus. On the palate, it is fresh yet full-bodied and rich due to its good concentration. A pleasant bitterness and a light salinity give this wine a complex and crisp finish. Light yellow in color, with a green tinge.
Wine & Food Pairing
Can be enjoyed as an aperitif on a beautiful summer day, but truly shines with a plate of pasta vongole or a crispy fritto misto. Also ideal with shellfish and crustaceans.
Additional Information
Vermentino is a grape primarily found on the western side of Italy. Vermentino from Sardinia is famous. Liguria also contributes, but only along the coast, as the grape thrives in a fresh sea breeze! This also gives it a hint of salinity.
Feudo Arancio is part of the large Gruppo Mezzacorona. Mezzacorona, founded in 1904 in Alto Adige, was one of the first cooperatives in Italy and remains the best example of how the interests of farmers and the production of quality wines reinforce each other.
Since 2001, Mezzacorona has owned the Sicilian winery Feudo Arancio, and its vineyard holdings have grown to nearly 700 hectares, spread across the southern part of the island. Here too, there is a strong focus on sustainability, and the wines are made using the most modern techniques.
