Tasting Notes Feudo Pinot Grigio
The Feudo Arancio Pinot Grigio is a fresh Sicilian white wine with aromas of white peach, pear, and subtle floral notes of chamomile. The taste is elegant and lively, with a beautiful balance between ripe fruit, a soft creaminess, and a fresh mineral finish. Thanks to the sunny Sicilian climate, the wine maintains a pleasant freshness and a refined character.
Wine & Food Pairing
This Pinot Grigio from Feudo Arancio is delicious with sushi, seafood, grilled fish, light pasta dishes, salads, and antipasti. It is also an excellent choice as an aperitif.
Further Information
The grapes come from the area around Acate in southeastern Sicily. The vineyards benefit from many hours of sunshine and cooling influences, allowing the grapes to ripen optimally and retain their fresh character. Feudo Arancio is known for modern Sicilian quality wines where fruit, elegance, and drinking pleasure are central. The wines from the Feudo Arancio winery are among the best-selling wines in the range!
This wine is made from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes. The grapes are sustainably grown and harvested at night in mid-August to optimally preserve freshness and natural acidity. After a very gentle pressing, the wine ferments for about ten days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It then matures for over five months on the fine lees, which provides extra roundness and complexity.
Fun Fact
Pinot Grigio is often associated with Northern Italy, but this grape also feels perfectly at home in Sicily. Thanks to the warm climate, the wine here gains a little more ripe fruit and a fuller flavor while retaining its fresh character. This makes this style particularly versatile at the table.
