Complex in aroma and flavor: from dried red fruit, anise, and spices to dark chocolate, almond, vanilla, and tobacco. The latter is due to wood aging. The wine feels wonderfully velvety. With plenty of juiciness and soft, sweet tannins. A thick, full-bodied Southern Italian wine with an intense ruby red color and purple hues. Sunny Sicilian red.

Feudo Arancio Hedonis Riserva is a quintessential food wine. Choose dishes with a rich flavor. A piece of red meat from the barbecue, a hearty grilled fish, or a cheese board with aged cheeses.

Other information

The vineyards of Feudo Arancio are located on the southern coast of sun-drenched Sicily, in Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate. It is part of one of the largest, most leading wine companies in Italy: Mezzacorona. The name Feudo Arancio is derived from the nearby 'Lago Arancio' (orange lake). In 2001, it was purchased by Mezzacorona in a severely neglected state. The vineyards were grubbed up and the winery demolished.

No cost or effort was spared to build a new, modern winery and plant new vineyards, complete with an irrigation system. The winery was designed as an homage to Sicilian traditions, with great respect for the environment and nature. Sustainability receives full attention: from solar panels to a reduction in the use of chemical agents and a focus on recycling. The wines are harmonious, full of character, and reflect the temperament and characteristics of Sicily; the sun, the sea, and nature.
