Tasting Note Feudo Arancio Grillo
Recognizable fruit notes of peach, mango, and papaya on the nose, as well as jasmine and white flowers. On the palate, a beautiful balance between ripe fruit and pleasant acidity. The wine has a lovely straw-yellow color. Do not drink this wine too cold, but at a temperature of 8-10°C.
Wine & Food Pairing
Feudo Arancio Grillo is the perfect white wine for any occasion. It pairs well with salads, white fish, pasta with clams, shellfish, veal, and roast chicken, but it's also great to simply enjoy on its own.
Additional Information
The Grillo is a local specialty and produces a delicious, fresh, and invigorating wine with plenty of flavor. The Grillo is still a somewhat unknown grape, but it is becoming increasingly popular, and it's no wonder that this Grillo from winery Feudo Arancio is one of the best-selling wines in their range!
Feudo Arancio is part of the large Gruppo Mezzacorona. Mezzacorona, founded in 1904 in Alto Adige, was one of the first cooperatives in Italy and remains the best example of how the interests of farmers and the production of quality wines reinforce each other.
Since 2001, Mezzacorona has owned the Sicilian Feudo Arancio, and their vineyard holdings have grown to nearly 700 hectares, spread across the southern part of the island. Here too, there is a strong focus on sustainability, and the wines are made using the most modern methods.
Fun Fact
Grillo is a truly Sicilian grape variety that was formerly primarily used for the production of Marsala. Today, however, Grillo is widely used for dry white wines. The grape copes well with the warm Sicilian climate while surprisingly retaining a lot of freshness.
