Tasting note False Bay Bush Vine Pinotage
Here, no rustic "smoky" notes, but rich and softly spicy red fruit on the nose. On the palate, juicy red fruit with soft tannins. The wine has that lovely juicy 'Pinot' style, drinking like a good Beaujolais.

This False Bay Pinotage is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, red meat, lamb, or a country paté.
Other information
The wines are made at the Waterkloof Estate. In 2004, this magnificent wine estate was purchased by Paul Boutinot. Waterkloof is located on the Schaapenberg in Somerset West, Stellenbosch, just three kilometers from the ocean. The vineyards for the Waterkloof wines are located on the upper slopes of this estate, 300 meters above sea level.
The False Bay Bush Vine Pinotage does not come from irrigated, overfilled, hot and stressed vineyards. The sustainably cultivated vineyards are located on the coast and always experience a fresh breeze from the Atlantic Ocean. The dry-farmed bush vines have had ample time to adapt and feel perfectly at home. And of course, at False Bay: everything "handpicked," spontaneous fermentation, wild yeasts, and barrel-aged.
