Tasting Notes Champagne Jacquart Mosaïque Signature Brut
Mosaïque Signature opens with refined small bubbles and has a pale golden-yellow color. The nose offers fresh white stone and pome fruit (pear, apple), floral accents, and subtle brioche/hazelnut notes; with slightly riper, honeyed nuances from extended aging. On the palate, it is rich and concentrated yet well-balanced: juicy fruit and a creamy mousse are supported by refreshing citrus tension and a pleasant, long finish.
Wine & Food
Champagne Jacquart Mosaïque Signature Brut is an elegant champagne to pair with oysters and shellfish, excellent with delicate white fish dishes (such as pan-fried sea bass), and surprisingly good with lightly seasoned chicken or dishes with creamy sauces; fine pastries and hazelnut-based desserts also make a beautiful match.
Additional Information
The Champagne Jacquart winery was founded in 1962 by a small group of winegrowers who collectively wanted to launch a new brand to become less dependent on the large trading houses. Jacquart has since grown into one of the major Champagne houses. The wines of Champagne Jacquart can be found on a large number of wine lists of top restaurants in and outside of France.
Mosaïque Signature is composed of the classic Jacquart blend (approximately 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier) and contains a significant proportion of reserve wines. The distinguishing feature of the Signature version is the longer aging on lees for about 5 years before disgorgement, which provides extra depth and brioche aromas.
