The Calusari Reserva Negru Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied and characterful red wine with aromas of ripe blackcurrants, blackberries and plums, complemented by notes of black pepper, vanilla, cocoa and subtle woody influences. On the palate, the wine is rich and smooth, with ripe tannins, a beautiful concentration of dark fruit and a long, spicy finish.

The Calusari Reserva is produced by the Romanian winery Cramele Recaș, one of Romania's most progressive and internationally acclaimed wineries. Located in the historic Banat wine region, the winery boasts a unique terroir where warm summers and cool nights ensure optimally ripe grapes while retaining freshness and aromatic complexity. Cramele Recaș combines modern winemaking techniques with respect for local grape varieties and has thus made an important contribution to the international reputation of Romanian quality wines.
This Reserva is a special blend of the indigenous Romanian grape Negru de Drăgășani with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. After a careful selection of the grapes, temperature-controlled fermentation follows, after which the wine matures for several months in oak barrels. This oak aging gives the wine extra depth, structure, and refined aromas of vanilla, cocoa and spices, while retaining its rich fruit character. The result is a wine that beautifully expresses both the power of international grape varieties and the unique character of the local Negru de Drăgășani.
