Additional information
The Calusari Fetească Albă is produced by the Romanian winery Cramele Recaș, one of Romania's leading and most innovative wine producers. The winery is located in the historic wine region of Viile Timișului in the west of the country and boasts hundreds of hectares of vineyards. Thanks to modern techniques, international expertise and a strong focus on quality, Cramele Recaș has played an important role in Romania's emergence as a contemporary wine country.
The wine is made from the indigenous grape Fetească Albă, one of Romania's oldest and most highly regarded white grape varieties. The grapes are largely harvested at night to preserve their freshness. After a gentle pressing, the wine ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. No wood is used, allowing the pure fruit, fresh acidity and aromatic character of the grape to be optimally preserved.
In short: A surprisingly fresh and accessible white wine that perfectly introduces one of Romania's finest indigenous grapes.
