The Ca'Bolani Cabernet Franc is an elegant and smooth red wine from Friuli. The nose reveals red currants, small red fruits, floral notes, liquorice, and spicy undertones. The palate is full and harmonious, with juicy fruit and soft, elegant tannins. A characterful yet accessible Cabernet Franc with a pleasant finish.

Delicious with grilled red meat, lamb, pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, and stews. Also pairs well with grilled vegetables and semi-hard cheeses.
Other information
The wine comes from Aquileia, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia in northeastern Italy. The region is located near the Adriatic Sea. The cooling sea breeze tempers the summer heat, while the significant temperature differences between day and night ensure the preservation of aromas and freshness.
Ca'Bolani possesses a vast estate of 890 hectares, of which approximately 570 hectares consist of vineyards. The vineyard area is divided into no fewer than 90 different plots, which are harvested and vinified separately. This allows the winery to optimally utilize the differences between the plots. The estate is named after the noble Bolani family, who transferred the property in 1970 to the Zonin family, who have further built its reputation.
The Cabernet Franc is vinified separately to allow the character of the grape variety and the terroir of Aquileia to be well expressed.

Fun fact
Cabernet Franc is one of the parents of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grape arose from a natural crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Cabernet Franc is therefore not only a beautiful wine on its own, but also an important ancestor of one of the world's most famous grape varieties.
