Tasting Notes Algazarra Reserva Lisboa White
The Algazarra Reserva Lisboa White has a light golden yellow color and subtle green reflections. On the nose, it surprises with an exotic palette of citrus fruits, white peach, and tropical fruit, framed by floral notes and a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is refreshing and lively, with juicy acidity and a delicate creaminess. Thanks to oak aging, notes of vanilla and a light spiciness emerge, while the minerality provides elegant finesse.
Wine & Food Pairing
This white Algazarra Reserva is extremely versatile and gastronomically applicable. It pairs perfectly with shellfish and crustaceans, grilled fish such as mackerel or salmon (perhaps drizzled with lemon), creamy pasta, or fresh salads. Soft cheeses and white meat (think poultry) also complement it beautifully.
Additional Information
The Algazarra Reserva Lisboa White comes from the Lisboa region, located along the Atlantic coast north of Lisbon. The moderate maritime climate with cool oceanic influences ensures fresh, vibrant wines with good acidity. The soils vary from sand to clay and limestone, contributing to the minerality and elegance of the wines. Lisboa has nine sub-regions and works with both indigenous grape varieties such as Arinto and international varieties, providing a wide and characterful offering.
Behind the Algazarra line is Casa Santos Lima, a leading family business active since the end of the 19th century. Under the leadership of fourth-generation José Luís Santos Lima, the winery has grown into one of the most awarded producers in Portugal. Casa Santos Lima owns approximately 400 hectares of vineyards around Alenquer and in several other Portuguese regions. Through their combination of modern winemaking techniques, tradition, and consistent quality, they have built a strong reputation worldwide.

Fun Fact
The Portuguese Arinto and international Chardonnay together form the basis of this Reserva. Part of the wine matures in oak, giving it a subtle round and creamy touch in addition to being fresh and fruity.
