A distinctive, vibrant red wine made from the Gamay grape, traditionally known from Beaujolais but here at its unconventional best in the south of France. Uva Non Grata: "the unwanted grape" shows exactly why Gamay does deserve a place: fruity, playful, and wonderfully drinkable.

This wine is a statement: an ode to grapes that are often forgotten or unjustly ignored. Gamay was even banned in Burgundy centuries ago ("disgrace of Burgundy," according to the Duke in 1395), but with this wine, it's making a comeback. Uva Non Grata is intended as a rebellion against conventional wine ideas, light, drinkable, playful, and full of character.

The winery Boutinot is a renowned producer with its own vineyards in France, England, South Africa, and Italy. They often collaborate with small farmers and frequently make terroir-driven wines with a modern twist.
