Tasting Notes Uggiano Vermentino
Light straw yellow with a green shimmer. On the nose, aromas of jasmine, peach blossom, citrus, and white stone fruit. The taste is fresh and lively, with juicy fruit, refined minerality, and a pleasant, long finish. The slightly salty character makes this wine particularly appealing on warm days. It is best enjoyed within 2 to 3 years after harvest, when its fresh aromas and lively acidity are at their peak.
"A delightful alternative to Pinot Grigio: more aromatic, fresher, and with a subtle Mediterranean minerality."
Wine & Food
This Uggiano Vermentino is delicious as an aperitif and pairs excellently with shellfish, grilled sea bass, sea bream, sushi, and other fish dishes. Its fresh character also shines with salads, grilled vegetables, pasta with seafood, and light Mediterranean dishes.
Additional Information
The Uggiano Vermentino Toscana IGT is a fresh, elegant white wine from Tuscany. This Vermentino is made by the winery Uggiano, a renowned family business that has been producing quality wines in the heart of Tuscany since the 1970s.
After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. No oak aging is used, which optimally preserves the fresh fruity character and natural minerality.

Fun fact
Vermentino is one of the most important white grape varieties along the Mediterranean. Although the grape is primarily known from Sardinia and the Tuscan coast, it also thrives in Tuscany. Thanks to the influence of the sea, Vermentino develops its characteristic fresh acidity, aromatic character, and subtle salty minerality.
