Cheerful small red fruits rise from the glass. Fresh, fruity, dry, and delicate. With fine acidity. Soft pink and clear in color with some coppery hues. All in all, a light-footed and digestible Italian rosé.

MezzaCorona, founded in 1904, is one of the very first cooperatives in Italy. Today, the name MezzaCorona represents a group of wineries from the far north to the deep south of Italy. Nevertheless, when one says MezzaCorona, one immediately thinks of Trentino, and vice versa. MezzaCorona controls approximately 2,400 hectares of vineyards there and in the adjacent Alto Adige.

Trentino is located in northern Italy between Verona and the Alps, where viticulture is concentrated in the Adige valley. Characteristic of the region is a fairly varied planting, with the immensely popular Pinot Grigio being the best-known grape. The MezzaCorona range naturally includes several different styles of Pinot Grigio. Most people know Pinot Grigio primarily as a white wine. However, the grape has a copper-colored skin. Hence, the rosé variant.

Fact: the mountains act as natural air conditioning.

The vineyards of Terre del Noce are located at the foot of the Dolomites. During the day, the valley absorbs the Italian sun, but at night, the ice-cold mountain air flows down. This enormous temperature difference (diurnal variation) ensures that the grapes retain their fresh acidity and aromas. Without those cold nights, the wine would taste much less "crisp"!
