Tasting note Talamonti Aternum Trebbiano
On the nose, plenty of fruit, such as citrus and apple, and various herbs, reminiscent of tarragon and sage. On the palate, a wonderful concentration with lively, ripe acidity and saline minerals. A very long, full, and round finish. Light yellow color. In short, a magnificent Trebbiano with immense juiciness and structure.
Wine & Food
The perfect white wine for many occasions. Pairs well with salads, white fish, shellfish, veal, and roasted chicken, but is also delicious to enjoy on its own.

Talamonti ranks among the best and has consequently been awarded many times for their wines. Typical of their style are full and round wines. Cantine Talamonti was founded in 2001 by a group of entrepreneurs out of a love for wine and their beloved Abruzzo region.
They employ the most modern vinification methods to create wines without compromising tradition. The wine is cultivated around the Italian town of Loreto Aprutino, where the best wines originate. The incredible diversity of the climate and the location of the vineyards allows for the production of versatile grapes such as Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Montepulciano, and, since 2009, Pecorino.
At Talamonti, they miraculously succeed in producing modern wines from these traditional grapes that are enjoyed by both wine enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs alike. It is no wonder they are considered by the international wine press to be one of the leading estates in Abruzzo.
The Abruzzo region is located in the east of Italy, at the same latitude as Rome. Here lies the highest part of the Apennines, with peaks of nearly 3,000 meters. This region has its own customs and dialects. At approximately 34,000 hectares, the vineyard area of Abruzzo is not particularly large.
Nevertheless, producers make a large quantity of wine: in terms of volume, Abruzzo ranks among the top in Italy. This is because many mass-market wines have been produced here for a long time: supermarket wines and bulk wines used for other purposes such as distillation and the production of vermouth. However, this is changing as major Italian producers are investing in this wine region.
In this area, a cold, harsh wind sometimes blows from the northeast (the 'bora') or a hot wind from the southeast (the 'scirocco'). Due to these extreme weather influences, results vary significantly from year to year.
