Tasting Note Serre dei Roveri Nebbiolo d'Alba
The nose offers fresh red fruit, violets, earthy tones and a hint of spice, as well as tar (naturally), tobacco and flint. The tannins are present but reasonably soft. A very accessible style for a Nebbiolo. A concentrated, flavourful wine with a light red colour. It resembles a Pinot Noir, yet with 14% alcohol. It is recommended to open the wine in advance. A finish that lasts for miles.
Food Pairing
Open this Serre dei Roveri Nebbiolo d'Alba with richer dishes such as grilled meat. How about a Bistecca alla Fiorentina? This is a Porterhouse steak, not a T-bone, as is often thought. Also delicious with risotto with mushrooms, truffle, Parmesan cheese, Manchego and olives.
