Tasting Notes Saint-Louis Les Grandes Tablées rouge
N.b. this is the replacement for the Little Big Red Wine, exactly the same wine, but now with a different name + label.
The aroma reveals exciting notes of red and black fruit, as well as roasted nuts. Wonderfully silky in the mouth. With power and length, cherries and blackberries vie for first place here. A complex and deeply colored Rhône blend. A magnificent wine. Santé
Wine & Food
Saint-Louis Les Grandes Tablées rouge is a true dinner wine, able to handle a bit of challenge. Think small game, such as rabbit or pigeon. Prefer it with cheese? Then choose a (semi-)hard Beaufort.
Additional information
The Costières de Nîmes vineyard is located in Southern France, in the Gard department, north of the Camargue, southeast of Nîmes. The Costières de Nîmes appellation belongs to the vineyards of the Rhône Valley. However, this AOC was formerly classified under Languedoc.
According to historians, the Costières de Nîmes vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in France. The first vines were planted in this area by the Phoenicians. The Greeks and Romans continued this development, and later the Benedictine monks ensured the planting of the correct grape varieties, suited to the soil and climate. The sea breeze provides a fruity and healthy grape with many aromas. The large sandstone boulders in the soil ensure optimal grape ripening, enabling the winemaker to create one of the most beautiful Rhône Valley wines.
