The nose immediately reveals its pleasant and airy character. Impressions of yellow fruits like peach, pineapple, and a delicate hint of apricot come forward first, followed by more floral notes of jasmine and linden blossom, and spicy impressions of white pepper and ginger. Smooth and supple mouthfeel, beautiful balance. Airy, long finish.

Additional Information

From the beautiful Friuli region in northeastern Italy comes a delicious wine, consisting of a blend of different grapes such as Pinot Grigio, Müller Thurgau, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are fermented separately at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. There, the wines rest for another 6 months.

The vineyards are sheltered on the northern side by the foothills of the Alps, while on the southern side, the Adriatic Sea provides sufficient moisture and a fresh sea breeze, especially in the afternoon. In this region, many winemakers play it safe: they harvest before the weather changes.

Rino is the fourth generation winemaker in the family, which began winemaking in the Pordenone region at the end of the 19th century. The wines are highly sought after (nowadays also in Italy itself, supported by high ratings in Gambero Rosso), so only a limited quantity comes to the Netherlands.
