Plaimont Le Faîte Saint-Mont Red

Tasting note Plaimont Le Faîte Saint-Mont Rouge

The nose reveals ripe dark fruit (blackberries and blackcurrants), nuts, spices (bay leaf) and a hint of toast. The palate is characterized by ripe fruit, liquorice and a soft mouthfeel with some riper tannins. It has a lovely freshness and length. This wine can certainly be aged for several years. Deep purple colour.

Fun fact: the wooden plaque is a tribute to how winemakers used to do things. In the past, wines were stored in clay soil and a label would have been lost. Hence, wooden plaques were used instead of a label. Sealed with an original wax capsule, and when ordering 6 bottles, these are delivered in a wooden crate.
