Tasting Notes Pietro Toso Moscato d'Asti
Sparkling colour. The aroma has all the characteristics of the Muscat grape but comes across as very elegant (fruity). The taste is sweet yet refreshing. The mousse is elegant and consistent.
Wine & Food Pairing
An excellent aperitif and particularly suitable for accompanying fresh dessert dishes. Looking for more dessert wines?
Additional Information
Toso is a very modern company in Piedmont with a wide variety of wines. The house specialty is sparkling wines such as Moscato d’Asti and Asti Spumante.
The Toso winery is several hundred years old, yet very much up-to-date. In Cossano Belbo, Piedmont, there is a very modern production facility with a no-nonsense corporate culture.
Toso is an extraordinarily versatile company with a wide range of activities. The grapes come from the hills around the village of Asti (near Turin) and are entirely hand-picked. Healthy grapes are essential for this production process. This wine is created by a modern white vinification, where fermentation is stopped at 5.5% alcohol by cooling. This process takes place in closed tanks, which also retains some of the carbon dioxide in the wine.
