Tasting Notes Nittnaus Selection Grüner Veltliner
Nittnaus Grüner Veltliner Selection has a rich aroma with notes of peach blossom, honey, brioche, and a hint of candy. Refreshing initial taste, ripe peach fruit, very generous and rich with a pleasant spiciness and the characteristic peppery note in the finish. Nicely juicy. Clear pale yellow color.
Wine & Food Pairing
It is an excellent choice with seafood, salads, light pasta dishes, and goat cheese. The fresh and lively character of the wine also makes it an excellent aperitif, stimulating your taste buds before the meal.
Additional Information
The Nittnaus brothers' winery is located in Gols, the largest wine-growing region in Austria. The family has owned vineyards here for over 300 years. The youngest generation has been at the helm since 1986 and has clearly divided the tasks. The unique microclimate around Lake Neusiedl combined with the very diverse soils provide an excellent basis for making quality wines.
The style of the wines is generally fresh with plenty of fruit and a beautiful balance. At a very early stage, Nittnaus embraced the principles of organic farming, and they continue to contemplate and work towards a way of working where the environment is fully respected and the wine is produced as naturally as possible.
