Tasting Note Musivum Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore 🇮🇹
The wine has a very high concentration of colour and aromas. Blackcurrants, plums, blueberries and cherries on the nose, along with herbs and spices like bitter cocoa, pepper and eucalyptus. A wine that can age very well and will retain its power. Its spicy tannins call for a hearty game dish.
Wine & Food
The Musivum Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore is truly brilliant with roasted venison fillet served with a juniper berry sauce. It also comes into its own with sautéed duck breast with a blackberry jus.
Additional information
Local hero Teroldego has found its ideal environment in Trentino, where it always produces generous and fruity wines. It is a grape variety with a fascinating history, originating from the famous plains of the "Piana Rotaliana". This plain has been a crossroads of cultures and traditions for thousands of years.
Years of deposits from the Noce river have created a special soil formation, consisting of a very fertile topsoil of sand and silt, beneath which lies a deep drainage layer of gravel and pebbles, which is very permeable, dry and well-ventilated.
MezzaCorona, established in 1904, is one of the very first cooperatives in Italy. Today, the name MezzaCorona stands for a group of wineries from the far north to the deep south of Italy.
However, when you say MezzaCorona, you immediately think of Trentino. And vice versa. MezzaCorona controls about 2,400 hectares of vineyards there and in the adjacent Alto Adige. Trentino is located in northern Italy between Verona and the Alps, where viticulture is concentrated in the Adige valley.
