Tasting Notes Montes Twins Red Blend
The aroma reveals ripe blackberries, plums, and figs, complemented by notes of vanilla, cloves, and a hint of chocolate. On the palate, the wine is rich and juicy, with plenty of ripe dark fruit, vibrant acidity, and soft, round tannins. The four grape varieties complement each other beautifully: Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, Syrah for power and volume, Carmenère for softness, and Tempranillo for freshness.
A full-bodied, luscious, yet surprisingly smooth red blend from the Colchagua Valley in Chile. The wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenère, and Tempranillo.
Wine & Food
Montes Twins Red Blend is delicious with grilled red meat, lamb, barbecue, charcuterie, and strong cheeses. It also pairs excellently with pasta in a rich tomato sauce or a hearty pizza.
Additional Information
The wine comes from the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile's most renowned wine regions. The grapes originate from Apalta and Marchigüe. By combining grapes from these different areas, a beautiful balance between ripe fruit, power, and freshness is achieved.
A portion of the wine ages for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels. This imparts subtle notes of vanilla, spices, toast, and chocolate to the wine, while the ripe fruit remains beautifully prominent.

Fun Fact
The name Twins has a charming story. The wine originated from a sort of winemaking competition between Aurelio Montes senior and his son Aurelio Montes junior. They each made their own blend but couldn't agree on which was better. Ultimately, both blends were combined. The result was so pleasing that the wine was named Twins.
