Tasting note Montes Twins Red Blend
The nose reveals ripe blackberries, plums, and figs, complemented by notes of vanilla, cloves, and a hint of chocolate. On the palate, the wine is rich and juicy, with plenty of ripe dark fruit, lively acidity, and soft, round tannins. The four grapes complement each other beautifully: Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, Syrah adds power and volume, Carmenère offers softness, and Tempranillo brings freshness.

Montes Twins Red Blend is delicious with grilled red meat, lamb, barbecue, charcuterie, and hearty cheeses. It also makes an excellent pairing with pasta in a rich tomato sauce or a hearty pizza.
Other information
The wine comes from the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile's most well-known wine regions. The grapes are sourced from Apalta and Marchigüe. By combining grapes from these different areas, a beautiful balance is created between ripe fruit, power, and freshness.
Part of the wine is aged for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels. This imparts subtle notes of vanilla, spices, toast, and chocolate to the wine, while the ripe fruit remains beautifully prominent.

Fun fact
The name Twins has a fun story. The wine originated from a kind of winemaking competition between Aurelio Montes senior and his son Aurelio Montes junior. They each created their own blend but could not agree on which was the best. Eventually, both blends were combined. The result was so pleasing that the wine was named Twins.
