Tasting Note Minius Mencia
Minius Mencia has a garnet red color with a purple rim and offers aromas of red fruit on the nose, such as blackberries, cassis, and blueberries, with cocoa and a slight minerality. The taste is smooth and balanced, with good tannins and a fruity, intense finish.
Food Pairing
Minius Mencia pairs excellently with grilled meat, game, lamb dishes, or rich tapas. It also goes well with aged cheeses or stews. Serve at around 15-18 °C to best allow its fruit and characteristics to shine.
Additional Information
Minius Mencía comes from the DO Monterrei in Galicia in northern Spain and is produced by Adegas Valmiñor. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and undergoes malolactic fermentation, which gives it its smooth texture and rounded tannins.
Thanks to its balance and expression, Minius Mencía is among the wines with an excellent price-quality ratio within Monterrei.
