Tasting Notes Minius Mencia
Minius Mencia has a garnet red color with a purple rim and offers aromas of red fruits such as blackberries, cassis, and blueberries, with cocoa and a slight minerality on the nose. The taste is smooth and balanced, with good tannins and a fruity, intense finish.
Wine & Food Pairing
Minius Mencia pairs excellently with grilled meats, game, lamb dishes, or rich tapas. It also goes well with aged cheeses or stews. Serve around 15-18 °C to best highlight its fruit and characteristics.
Additional Information
Minius Mencía comes from the DO Monterrei in Galicia in northern Spain and is made by Adegas Valmiñor. The wine ferments in stainless steel and undergoes malolactic fermentation, which gives it its smooth texture and rounded tannins.
Thanks to its balance and expression, Minius Mencía is among the wines with an excellent price-quality ratio within Monterrei.
