The word "Küfertrunk" literally means "cooper's drink" and refers to the fact that this wine was traditionally served from a wooden barrel.
Although Kellerei Moselland is located in Bernkastel-Kues, in the heart of the Moselle Valley, and despite the name Moselland itself perhaps suggesting otherwise, this company has long since ceased to limit itself solely to Moselle wines.
Moselland is now active in almost all important German wine-growing regions. As a result, it can now offer a very extensive product range in various taste profiles, from traditionally mild to modern dry, such as Classic. The focus is on accessible wines, tailored to the taste and budget of a large audience, but technically impeccably crafted.
