A Gemischter Satz... What is that? It is a wine made from several white grape varieties. They are not blended after fermentation (as in a cuvée). In fact... They already grow interspersed in the vineyard, are harvested at the same time, and are thrown into the fermentation tank together. Since the different varieties, such as Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, and Roter Veltliner here, do not all ripen at the same time, both ripe and unripe grapes are used. This gives this Gemischter Satz from Winzer Krems not only fullness and complexity but also that delicious freshness.
