Tasting Notes Jordan Unoaked Chardonnay
The Jordan Unoaked Chardonnay is a wine of exceptional quality. The wine has a nose reminiscent of bananas and nuts. On the palate, fresh aromas of lime, ripe yellow fruit, and nuts. Ripening for 4 months in stainless steel tanks gives this wine a very fine acidity on the palate, ensuring a delightful finish. This keeps the Chardonnay wonderfully fresh and juicy.
Wine & Food Pairing
Jordan Unoaked Chardonnay can be enjoyed as an aperitif and pairs wonderfully with various salads and fish dishes.
Additional Information
In short, a wonderfully fresh and juicy wine, without oak aging.
Jordan Winery is professionally run by Gary and Kathy Jordan. Not only do they produce excellent wines, but Jordan's restaurant, bistro, and guesthouses are also well worth a visit.
The Jordan winery is the only winery in Stellenbosch with vineyards planted in every direction. They own no less than 164 hectares in this beautiful wine region. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 160 to 410 meters and benefit from the cooling influences of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. The soil consists of old granite with various top layers, ranging from clay-loam to sand and gravel. In winemaking, innovative methods are combined with a natural approach.
