Tasting note Jordan Cold Fact Sauvignon Blanc
The Jordan Cold Fact Sauvignon Blanc has a fresh nose of lime, green bell pepper, and fresh herbs. It also features ripe tropical fruit, the scent of boxwood, and even a hint of dried figs. On the palate, it offers fresh acidity and a crisp minerality. Aromatic, dry, fresh, fruity, green apple. Sleek with great depth. Beautiful straw-yellow color.
Food & Wine
This wonderful Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with quiche, salad Niçoise, shellfish, and light goat cheese. However, Sauvignon Blancs are naturally perfect wines to drink on their own as well. For a party or as an aperitif.

The Jordan winery is run by Gary and Kathy Jordan. Not only do they make excellent wines, but the Jordan restaurant, bistro, and guest accommodations are also well worth a visit.
This Sauvignon Blanc is a wine from Stellenbosch, but from a part located close to the sea. Cool winds arrive from two directions, making it 3 degrees cooler there than in vineyards further inland. Stellenbosch is the most famous wine-growing region in South Africa.
Stellenbosch has the most top-tier estates, is surrounded by mountains (Helderberg and Simonsberg), and has vineyards facing every direction. Stellenbosch is home to the only university in South Africa with a viticulture department. Even though two-thirds of the vineyards are planted with white grapes, there is a growing realization that Stellenbosch is destined for red wine.
Cold Fact is the album by singer-songwriter Sixto Rodriguez, who became a cultural phenomenon in South Africa and internationally famous in the film 'Searching for Sugar Man'. It is also a cold soak technique used by Jordan to extract flavor from the skins of the ripest Sauvignon Blanc grapes (they are looking for the Sugar Man), which are then chilled and left on the skins for hours or even overnight, with the process helping to extract the intense flavors associated with this highly aromatic grape variety.
