You will keep sniffing the glass of Jordan Chardonnay Barrel Fermented: roasted nuts, vanilla, oak, and ripe yellow fruit. The taste can be called overwhelming and sublime. A Chardonnay wine at its very best. You can taste hints of butter and cream. But firm fruit notes of peach, mango, and apricot also come through. The finish of Jordan Chardonnay Barrel Fermented is characterized by freshly baked bread, oak, and vanilla. The incredibly long wood aging, of no less than 10 months, clearly comes into its own in the aroma and taste. Enjoy!

This Jordan Barrel Fermented Chardonnay is ideal with “fatty” dishes, such as salmon, mackerel, and trout with a creamy sauce with a coating mouthfeel, or think of grilled chicken, avocado, and marinated prawns.

Jordan Winery is professionally run by Gary and Kathy Jordan. Not only do they make excellent wines, but the restaurant, the bistro, and the guest accommodations at Jordan are also more than worth a visit.

Jordan is the only winery in Stellenbosch that owns vineyards planted in every compass direction. They own no less than 164 hectares in this beautiful wine region. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 160 to 410 meters and benefit from the cooling influences of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. The soil consists of ancient granite with various top layers, ranging from clay-loam to sand and gravel. In winemaking, innovative methods are combined with natural processes.
