Tasting Notes Jean Biecher Pinot Noir
Soft and delicate aroma, with notes of cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, complemented by wild strawberry, roses, and a hint of violets. A subtle spiciness, soft earthiness, and a hint of forest floor complete the profile. On the palate, silky and fresh, with lively acidity, ripe red fruit, and refined tannins. The finish is smooth, elegant, and beautifully spicy.
Wine & Food Pairing
Jean Biecher Pinot Noir is a versatile accompaniment to dishes such as roasted chicken, duck, veal, charcuterie, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, tarte flambée, and soft cheeses like brie or Tomme d’Alsace. It's also delicious lightly chilled with salads or even asparagus with ham, where its fresh and fruity character pairs wonderfully.
Additional Information
This Pinot Noir comes from the cool Alsace region, where long ripening and calcareous terroirs ensure a pure and precise style. The wine is traditionally vinified to preserve the natural elegance of the grape. Thanks to its fresh structure and mineral tension, this remains a refined and authentic expression of Pinot Noir from the region.
Alsace is one hundred percent French, but has a German feel in places. This is not surprising, as the area in the northeast of France borders Germany and has changed hands several times during various wars. Half-timbered houses, colourful flower boxes, and some regional dishes evoke that German image, but there are countless characteristics that make the region truly French.
