Tasting Notes Jean Biecher Pinot Gris
A full-bodied and aromatic Pinot Gris with aromas of ripe pear, peach, and a hint of honey and light spice. On the palate, it is round and soft, with ripe fruit, mild acidity, and an elegant, slightly spicy finish that creates a beautifully balanced whole.
Wine & Food
Jean Biecher Pinot Gris is an excellent accompaniment to richer dishes such as poultry, creamy pasta, and mushroom dishes. It also forms a particularly harmonious and full combination with asparagus served with ham, butter, or a creamy sauce.
Additional Information
The Jean Biecher winery is located in Alsace and collaborates with local winegrowers, where tradition and modern techniques go hand in hand to ensure consistent quality. The wine is primarily fermented in stainless steel tanks, optimally preserving its fruity and aromatic character while maintaining freshness and balance.
Alsace is one hundred percent French, yet in some respects, it feels German. This is not surprising, as the region in the northeast of France borders Germany and has changed hands several times during various wars. Half-timbered houses, colorful flower boxes, and some regional dishes evoke that German image, but there are countless characteristics that make the region truly French.
