Tasting Note Jean Biecher Pinot Blanc
A fresh and refined Pinot Blanc with inviting aromas of ripe apple, juicy pear, and subtle floral notes, complemented by a slight minerality. On the palate, it is smooth and elegant, with soft fruitiness and lively acidity that provide a beautiful balance and a fresh, drinkable finish. A crowd-pleaser!
Wine & Food Pairing
Jean Biecher Pinot Blanc is exceptionally versatile and pairs excellently with light dishes such as fish, shellfish, and fresh salads, omelettes, and quiches. Thanks to its soft structure and fresh character, it also forms a classic and very successful combination with asparagus, both traditionally with ham and egg, and in modern, lighter preparations.
Additional information
The Jean Biecher winery is located in Alsace and collaborates with local winegrowers, where tradition and modern techniques go hand in hand to guarantee consistent quality. The Pinot Blanc is typically fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, ensuring that the fresh, fruity character and purity of the grape are optimally preserved.
Alsace is one hundred percent French but has a German feel in places. This is not surprising, as the area in northeastern France is right next to Germany and has changed hands quite a few times during several wars. Half-timbered houses, colourful flower boxes, and some regional dishes evoke that German image, but there are countless characteristics that make the region truly French.
